Wing Ng, PhD
Meet Wing
Hello! I’m Wing Ng (he/him), a Psychologist Resident in Oregon working under the supervision of Karen Dimalanta, PhD. I provide individual therapy to adults and work with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, grief and loss, chronic health concerns, and life transitions.
I also have specialized training in multicultural counseling and am particularly passionate about working with BIPOC, immigrant, and other marginalized individuals. I enjoy helping clients explore how their relationships, identities, cultures, backgrounds, and lived experiences shape the way they understand themselves and navigate the world.
You Might Be a Good Fit If...
You’re looking for a therapist who is supportive and honest while also making space for curiosity, reflection, and your own perspective. We may be a good fit if you’re interested in:
Understanding patterns in your relationships and how they affect you.
Exploring anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, or life transitions.
Developing greater mindfulness and awareness of your internal experiences.
Examining the stories or narratives you’ve developed about yourself.
Exploring identity, culture, family background, spirituality, or other aspects of your lived experience.
Understanding how cultural or systemic experiences may be affecting your well-being.
Building a life that feels more fulfilling, connected, and meaningful.
I take a flexible approach to therapy and believe your perspective is an essential part of the process.
How I Work
My style is collaborative, supportive, honest, and flexible. Rather than assuming there is one right way to approach therapy, I work with you to understand what you’re experiencing, what matters to you, and what may be getting in the way of the life you want to build.
Our work may include exploring interpersonal patterns, increasing mindfulness, examining internalized narratives, understanding the influence of identity and culture, and developing practical tools for navigating challenges differently. Throughout therapy, I aim to honor your strengths, background, identities, and lived experiences while offering new perspectives that can support meaningful growth and change.
My Approach
I integrate several evidence-based and culturally responsive approaches based on each client’s needs, experiences, and goals. My clinical approach includes:
Interpersonal Therapy · Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) · Narrative Therapy · Multicultural Therapy · Mindfulness-Based Approaches
I strive to create a therapeutic environment that feels authentic, empowering, and thoughtful—one where we can explore both the challenges you’re experiencing and the broader patterns and experiences that may be shaping them.
