Who this group is for:

For many people, pursuing weight loss or improving health comes with a long history of trying different approaches, navigating setbacks, and managing complicated relationships with food, weight, and their bodies. Whether you've spent years participating in programs like WeightWatchers or Jenny Craig, are currently using GLP-1 medications, considering weight-loss surgery, or pursuing health-related goals without medical interventions, you deserve support along the way.

This ongoing therapy group is designed for adults navigating the physical, emotional, and social realities of weight loss and health behavior change. Together, we'll explore changing expectations, plateaus, body image, relationships, motivation, and what it means to develop sustainable behaviors in a weight-focused culture.

Participants are invited to share experiences, ask questions, celebrate victories beyond the scale, and learn from others navigating similar challenges. There is no single definition of success or expectation to pursue a particular treatment. Instead, this group offers a supportive, nonjudgmental space to explore your goals, strengthen your relationship with yourself, and build meaningful connections along the way.

What to expect:

Each session begins with an opportunity for participants to check in about their experiences, challenges, questions, and successes. From there, conversations develop around shared themes related to weight loss, health behaviors, body image, and emotional well-being.

Sessions combine supportive group discussion, psychological education, and opportunities to learn from others' lived experiences. Some weeks we may explore motivation, plateaus, or changing relationships with food; other weeks, conversations may focus on self-worth, relationships, weight stigma, or navigating medical treatments.

Participants are encouraged to share at their own comfort level, offer support, and approach their experiences with curiosity rather than judgment. There are no weigh-ins, prescribed diets, or expectations to achieve a particular amount of weight loss.

Whether you're using medication, considering surgery, or pursuing change without medical intervention, the focus is on building insight, connection, and sustainable ways of caring for yourself. Medical and nutritional treatment decisions remain between participants and their respective healthcare providers.
