Meet Marina

Hello! I’m Marina Parker (she/her), a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Oregon. I work with adults ages 18–75 who may be navigating ADHD, anxiety and stress, depression, life transitions, neurodivergence, or relationship and attachment concerns.

I provide individual therapy, couples and family therapy, and gender-affirming (WPATH) evaluations. I especially enjoy working with college students and young adults and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Whether you’re coming to therapy for the first time or returning with a clearer idea of what you want to work on, my goal is to create a space where you feel valued, respected, and heard.

You Might Be a Good Fit If...

You’re looking for therapy that feels collaborative, genuine, and responsive to who you are rather than one particular way of doing things. You may be:

  • Navigating ADHD or neurodivergence and wanting to better understand how your brain works, what you need, and how it affects your everyday life.

  • Experiencing anxiety, stress, overwhelm, or difficulty quieting your mind.

  • Feeling depressed, disconnected, unmotivated, or unsure how to move forward.

  • Going through a life transition and trying to figure out what comes next.

  • Noticing patterns in your relationships that you’d like to better understand or change.

  • Experiencing conflict or disconnection within a partnership or family.

  • Exploring your identity, relationships, or what feels authentic to you.

  • Looking for LGBTQIA+ affirming care where your identity is respected and understood.

  • Navigating the transitions and pressures that can come with college, young adulthood, or becoming more independent.

  • New to therapy and unsure exactly what to expect or where to begin.

How I Work

I believe that you are the expert on your own life. My role isn’t to tell you who you are or what you should do, but to bring my clinical knowledge and perspective alongside what you already know about yourself. I value collaboration and feedback, and we’ll work together to shape therapy around your needs, goals, and experiences.

My work is strongly relational and systemic, which means we may look beyond an individual symptom to understand the connections between your emotions, thoughts, relationships, experiences, and environment. We might explore the stories you’ve developed about yourself, identify patterns in how you relate to others, get curious about conflicting emotions or different parts of yourself, or develop practical strategies for navigating challenges differently.

You’re encouraged to show up authentically in our work together. I approach therapy with curiosity and a “beginner’s mindset”—leaving room for both of us to continue learning as we better understand what is most helpful to you.

My Approach

My approach is systemic, emotion-focused, relational, and narrative-driven. I integrate different therapeutic approaches based on the person, couple, or family I’m working with rather than expecting everyone to fit into the same model. My clinical approach includes: Systemic Therapy · Emotion-Focused Therapy · Narrative Therapy · Internal Family Systems (IFS) · Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
