Meet Ethan

Hello! I’m Ethan Waranch (he/him), a licensed psychologist in Oregon. I offer individual therapy for adults ages 18 and older, both virtually and in person at Northwest Primary Care in Oregon City.

I work with people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and the emotional challenges that can come with medical concerns, including cancer. I’ve supported adults in intensive outpatient care, general outpatient therapy, college counseling, and integrated healthcare settings. These experiences have shaped the way I look at the whole person and the many parts of life that can affect their well-being.

You Might Be a Good Fit If...

You’re looking for space to understand what you’re going through and consider what might help you adapt to the circumstances in your life. You may be:

  • Feeling anxious, depressed, or overwhelmed.

  • Processing trauma or other stressful experiences.

  • Coping with a medical concern, such as cancer, and its effects on your daily life.

  • Trying to make sense of changes in your health, relationships, or sense of self.

  • Noticing patterns in your thoughts, emotions, or behavior that you’d like to understand better.

  • Wanting support that considers both your struggles and the strengths you bring to them.

  • Looking for a therapist who will work with you to identify changes that feel meaningful and possible.

How I Work

I want to understand your experience as fully as I can, including your thoughts, feelings, behaviors, challenges, and successes. We’ll work together to explore what is happening in your life and what you need as you respond to it.

Part of our work may involve noticing patterns that have helped you get through difficult times, as well as patterns that may no longer serve you. From there, we can consider changes that support you in adapting to your present circumstances, including the parts that are difficult and the parts that are going well.

My Approach

My approach is client-centered and integrative. I tailor our work to your experiences and goals, with an emphasis on building awareness and finding ways forward together. Rather than assuming that one approach fits every person, I pay attention to the full context of your life and what feels useful in our work.
