Anya Crea-Vance, LPC
Meet Anya
Hello! I’m Anya Crea Vance (she/her), a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oregon. I work with adults who may be navigating anxiety, depression or other mood concerns, stress and overwhelm, life transitions, relationship challenges, grief, trauma, or changes related to health and family building.
I have a particular interest in fertility and family-building experiences, women’s health, and helping people better understand the connection between their emotions, bodies, and nervous systems. In addition to traditional talk therapy, I offer Brainspotting and ecotherapy, including walk-and-talk sessions for clients who find movement and nature supportive to the therapeutic process.
You Might Be a Good Fit If...
You’re curious about yourself and ready to look a little more deeply at your experiences, patterns, and what might help you feel more grounded and connected. You may be:
Feeling anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, or like your nervous system is frequently “out of whack.”
Stuck in cycles of stress and looking for more balance and ease in your everyday life.
Going through a significant life transition and needing space to process what is changing.
Navigating fertility challenges or the emotional complexities of building a family.
Healing from trauma or stressful experiences and interested in approaches that involve both the mind and body.
Experiencing grief, loss, relationship concerns, or changes in your health or circumstances.
Interested in understanding yourself with curiosity rather than judgment.
Looking for a therapist who is warm and supportive while also willing to be honest and direct.
Interested in incorporating nature, movement, mindfulness, or somatic work into therapy.
How I Work
Clients often describe me as warm, nonjudgmental, authentic, and gentle with the right amount of directness. I value curiosity, mindfulness, balance, humor, and helping you identify what matters to you so that our work stays connected to your goals and values.
I think of therapy a little like taking a walk together. Sometimes that walk feels more like climbing a mountain, and sometimes it’s a stroll through the park. Either way, we choose the path collaboratively. If the pack you’re carrying has become too heavy—with anxiety, exhaustion, conflict, resentment, grief, stress, or simply too much change—I can help carry some of that weight while we figure out what you need moving forward.
I’m not a “blank slate” therapist. You’ll see my personality in our work together, just as I hope you’ll feel comfortable bringing yours. Depending on what is helpful, I may offer perspective, practical skills, encouragement, humor, opportunities for deeper reflection, or simply a steady presence while we make sense of something difficult.
My Approach
My approach is integrative, holistic, strengths-based, and grounded in the connection between mind and body. I pay particular attention to the nervous system and incorporate approaches based on your needs, values, and goals rather than relying on a single model. My clinical approach includes: Somatic Therapy · Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy · Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) · Person-Centered Therapy · Strengths-Based Therapy · Brainspotting · Ecotherapy
