Licensed Supervisor: Dr. Karen Dimalanta, PhD 504-334-3035
My name is Wing Ng (he/him), and I am a Psychologist Resident in the state of Oregon under the direct supervision of Karen Dimalanta, Ph.D. I provide therapy to adults (18+) through both in-person and virtual sessions. Trained as a generalist, I work with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I also have specialized training in multicultural counseling and am especially passionate about supporting BIPOC, immigrant, and other marginalized individuals.
Are you a good clinical fit?
I am trained to be a generalist, meaning I work with a variety of concerns and from a few different evidence-based approaches. Many clients have expressed enjoyment in working with me due to my supportive and honest approach. Others have also enjoyed speaking about their backgrounds, identities, and cultures and how these factors influence their concerns. I try to be flexible with clients, believing that your perspective is essential to the healing process. In general, a client may be a good fit if they are interested in exploring their interpersonal patterns, mindfulness, internalized narratives, and/or identity work.
My Approach
My approach to therapy integrates evidence-based practices, including interpersonal, acceptance and commitment, narrative, and multicultural therapies. I value a collaborative relationship that honors your strengths, background, identities, and lived experiences, while offering supportive perspectives and practical tools to encourage meaningful growth and change. I strive to create an empowering, authentic, and insightful environment. Together, we will explore the challenges that may be getting in the way of a more fulfilling, connected, and meaningful life.
I look forward to working with you!
