I earned a Masters of Science degree in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Clinical Psychology from California School of Professional Psychology.
Outside of therapy, I engage in teaching yoga and mindfulness practices , and work as a health coach. These activities enhance my understanding of myself, my community, and the individuals I support in my practice.

Welcome! I’m Dr. Dimalanta (she/her), a licensed psychologist in Oregon with over 25 years of experience helping clients navigate life's complexities. I see individual (ages 18+) for virtual sessions. My practice is a warm, inclusive space where individuals of all races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, and gender expressions are welcome. I’m especially passionate about working with the BIPOC community and marginalized individuals, drawing on my own lived experiences to foster a deep, empathetic connection with my clients. I specialize in anxiety, depression and trauma for folx 18 years and up.

Clients often describe me as empathetic and balanced, providing a space for processing emotions while offering structure and focus for addressing concerns between sessions. I emphasize the importance of mindfulness in my clinical work, helping clients struggling with anxiety, depression and life transitions to find solace and clarity. During these challenging and often isolating times, I use empathy and validation to create a supportive environment where vulnerability is welcomed. I focus on bringing focus on the here and now, being respectful of where my clients are at in their process, and integrate the role our bodies play in our daily experiences.
My Approach
In my practice, I incorporate blend of elements however focus on understanding, empathy, openness, acceptance, patience, and well as a wealth of experience to support my clients through growth and change. I utilize a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Somatic Experiencing and Psychodynamic Therapy. This diverse toolkit allows me to address the unique challenges and barriers each client faces with compassion and patience. I believe in respecting the journey process and building hope along the way. My holistic approach integrates physical, emotional, and spiritual wellness, incorporating yoga and other movement to address the mind-body connection. As a Certified Health Coach and certified yoga teacher, I support my clients’ lifestyles and belief systems, helping them achieve balanced well-beingI am inclusive of LGBTQ+ individuals and have a welcoming space for all. You can share your culture and considerations with me, and I ensure not to make assumptions. Together, we will build a therapeutic relationship grounded in mutual respect and understanding.

Intake
Starts with an assessment (50-55 minutes). You will chat about your current situation, your history, and goals. A plan for treatment will be made with your goals and plan for follow up
Follow-up Appointments
Appointments last 30-55 minutes. We'll start by understanding your concerns and work together toward your goals at a pace that feels right for you. As symptoms improve, the frequency will reduce.
