Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

  • I received my Master's degree from the University of Oregon in Couples and Family Therapy, with a Bachelor's in Psychology.

In 2016 I began working as a drug and alcohol counselor. I provided group and individual therapy for people in recovery. From there I went on to graduate school where I was trained in trauma-informed care, relational therapies, and cognitive and other behavioral therapies. During this time I developed a greater understanding of how relationships affect us. I plan to continue building myself educationally through trainings specific to relational therapy as well as sex therapy.

Hello! My name is Jared Dominguez (he/him), and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Oregon. I see individuals, couples, and families (ages 18+) for virtual sessions.

Are you a good clinical fit?

When issues happen it is easy to feel alone and unsure what to do or how to cope. My hope is that together we can practice strategies to handle the challenges life throws at us. My approach is person-centered and emotion focused. I believe every person has the ability to make changes they want in themselves. I work to support everyone in their personal goals and to find balance in their lives. We can cope with things we have no control over and find the energy to act on things on which we desire to act.

My Approach

I integrate many theories and types of therapy into my work. They include emotion-focused therapy, ACT (acceptance commitment therapy), CBT, DBT, sex therapy, relational and couple matters, Gottman therapy, and many others.

I look forward to working with you!
