I have specialized training and experience in complex and developmental trauma, including intergenerational trauma. Additional specialty areas include chronic illness/pain and the emotional, psychological, and social challenges of living with chronic conditions.

Interested in working together? Submit a prospective patient form and provide a brief description of why you are seeking services with Dr. Schechter. Our admin team will reach out to schedule a 50-60 minute intake and send our new client paperwork. The initial assessment is where we will discuss your current concerns, goals for therapy, and address if we are a good fit.
If we are a good fit, we will schedule 45-60 minute follow up therapy sessions with the frequency and duration being specific to your goals for therapy.

Regular sessions are 45-55 minutes, typically weekly or every other week.

Intake
Starts with an assessment (50-55 minutes). You will chat about your current situation, your history, and goals. A plan for treatment will be made with your goals and plan for follow up
Follow-up Appointments
Appointments last 30-55 minutes. We'll start by understanding your concerns and work together toward your goals at a pace that feels right for you. As symptoms improve, the frequency will reduce.
