Hello! I’m Dr. Dawn Whitman (she/her) and I am a Licensed Psychologist (PsyD) in the states of Oregon and Washington. I see individuals (ages 18+) virtually for individual therapy.
My Approach
I firmly believe in providing culturally responsive, whole-person care that addresses the biological, psychological, and social aspects of mental health issues. Guided by my values, I approach my practice with authenticity, transparency, acceptance, feedback, and accountability. Building a collaborative relationship with my clients is a priority, and I believe in letting their feedback, needs, goals, and aspirations guide the treatment process.
In my work, I employ an integrative approach tailored to each client's unique needs. This approach draws from acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness, relational therapy, psychodynamic therapy, narrative therapy, and somatic therapy. My specialization lies in working with individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, women's health concerns, trauma, life transitions, gender identity, and relationship issues. I have experience with individuals across the lifespan focused on individual, family, and group therapy. Additionally, I have received specialized training in HRV biofeedback, psychological testing, and gender-affirmative medical readiness evaluations.

Intake
Starts with an assessment (50-55 minutes). You will chat about your current situation, your history, and goals. A plan for treatment will be made with your goals and plan for follow up
Follow-up Appointments
Appointments last 30-55 minutes. We'll start by understanding your concerns and work together toward your goals at a pace that feels right for you. As symptoms improve, the frequency will reduce.
